Blue Angels adopt new G-force training program
Starting last month, the Blue Angels have been training under a new G-Tolerance Training Program that will reduce the incidence of "G-LOC."

The U.S. Navy believes G-LOC lead to the crash of a Blue Angel jet at the 2007 Beaufort Air Show.

Report Released on Blue Angels Crash in Beaufort
The U.S. Navy has released its investigation report into the crash of a Blue Angel in Beaufort last year.

Lt. Cmdr. Kevin Davis made an error while trying to rejoin the formation and he put a very fast, high-G turn on the aircraft.

The turn likely caused him to experience tunnel vision and become disoriented.

Homeowners Near Blue Angels Crash Site Still Awaiting Compensation
Residents affected by the Blue Angels crash near Marine Corps Air Station Beaufort in April are still waiting for compensation for the damages.

They will be compensated soon as investigations into the crash is expected to wrap up soon.

CNO Visits Blue Angels, Offers His Support
Chief of Naval Operations (CNO) Adm. Mike Mullen and Master Chief Petty Officer of the Navy (MCPON) (SW/FMF) Joe R. Campa Jr. met with Sailors and Marines of the Navy Flight Demonstration Squadron, the Blue Angels, at Naval Air Station Pensacola on May 9.

Both CNO and MCPON offered their condolences to the team for the recent loss of Lt. Cmdr. Kevin J. Davis.

Navy's Blue Angels Are Good to Go for Wayne County Show
The Blue Angels are back flying this weekend for the "Wings Over Wayne" air show at Seymour Johnson Air Force Base.



They will be flying with five aircraft but Lt. Cmdr. Craig Olson is back to fill the number six spot and he has just finished his first full practice session.

The Blue Angels return to the skies for their first practice after the recent crash of No. 6 aircraft on Monday. After the end of their practice, the Thunderbirds flew a missing man formation above Pensacola Naval Air Station.

Davis was a 'top-shelf' pilot
A.J. Fratto, a U.S. Navy recruiter, spent a year and a half on the Blue Angels team with Lt. Cmdr. Kevin J. Davis. Fratto described him with two words: "top shelf."

"Kojak was the most tremendous pilot I ever met in my entire life," he said. "He was the most humble and respectable guy to ever don the blue suit."

Blue Angel pilot 'fascinated' by flying
U.S. Navy Blue Angels Lt. Cmdr. Kevin Davis was named "Top Stick" in his class at VF-101 while he trained on Tomcats.

He also graduated from Navy Flight Weapons School in 2004.

Blue Angel Jet Crashes
A Blue Angels has crashed during the Marine Corps Air Station Air Show in Beaufort Saturday afternoon.



Unconfirmed report says the No. 6 jet piloted by Lt. Cmdr. Kevin Davis went down after hitting a pine tree. The pilot was killed.
