KMT says Chen's UN bid has derailed US sales of F-16s
A group of Taiwan opposition lawmakers say President Chen Shui-bian's push for a referendum on the nation's bid to join the U.N. under the name "Taiwan" has derailed the sale of 66 F-16C/Ds.
They told a press conference that the Washington had decided to put off approval of the sale to Taiwan because of the U.N. bid, without giving the source of the information.
