U.S. Army plans to cancel NLOS-LS, Navy in big trouble
The U.S. Army is likely to cancel the Non-Line of Sight Launch System (NLOS-LS) due to affordability issues.
The cancellation will have a serious impact on the U.S. Navy’s Littoral Combat Ship program as the Navy plans to arm the ship with NLOS-LS. The only other heavy weapon the ship carries is a single 57mm rapid-fire cannon.
