Germany won't extend mandate to depoly E-3 to Afghanistan
Berlin is unwilling to extend the mandate to deploy four E-3 AWACS to Afghanistan after it expires in mid-December.
Defense Minister Karl-Theodor zu Guttenberg said a current overflight dispute with Azerbaijan and Turkmenistan.
However he stressed that if the dispute is resolved, the deployment will go ahead.
