Chinese Foreign Ministry says China is against militarization of space
China's Foreign Ministry spokesman Ma Zhaoxu has clarified the country's position on militarizing space.
"I want to point out China has all along upheld the peaceful use of outer space. We oppose the weaponization of outer space or a space arms race," Ma said.
The clarification came after PLAAF chief Xu Qiliang said his service will develop offensive and defensive capabilities in space during an interview earlier this week.
