Sea-Based X-Band Radar yet to reach home port
The Sea-Based X-Band Radar has yet to arrive at its home port of Adak, Alaska for a variety of reasons.
The closest it came to Adak was in 2007 when it spent two weeks loitering in the vicinity.
The Missile Defense Agency said the port at Adak was not ready to support the SBX at that time but upgrades to the port are nearly completed.
