U.S. may cut back to one aircraft carrier in the Gulf region
United States is now planning to have only one aircraft carrier in the Gulf for the rest of the year.

The U.S. Navy has maintained two aircraft carrier battle groups in area since early this year as part of muscle-flexing towards Iran.

USS John C. Stennis and USS Nimitz are expected to leave soon, leaving USS Enterprise as the only carrier there.
