U.S. House panel keeps ban on export of F-22A fighter
The U.S. House of Representatives Appropriations Committee on Wednesday nixed a plan to remove a clause that bars the sale of F-22 stealth fighters to Japan.

Despite the setback, the U.S. State Department said Washington is willing to help Japan select a replacement for its F-4EJ, in service since 1971.
