F-22 attractive to Japan as missile threats grow
Aviation Week reports that Japan is quietly and firmly making it known to Washington to release the F-22 for its F-X competition.

They see the F-22 with its AESA radar for cruise missile detection and wideband data links as the only available option to combat the increasing missile threat from the region.
