MAC chairman urges US to approve sale of F-16s Taiwan's Mainland Affairs Council (MAC) Chairman Joseph Wu urged the U.S. on Thursday to approve the sale of 66 F-16 C/Ds to the island.

Wu said the fighters are needed to defend itself against China's military threat.
