U.S. wants ability to fly from both ends of Nago strips
Tokyo has rejected Washington's request that its military aircraft to be able to land at or take off from both ends of the two runways to be constructed near Nago, Okinawa Prefecture.

The Americans had asked last month to install approach lights at both ends of the V-shaped runways but were rejected by the Japanese.
