Typhoon wins gun dogfight
The RAF has decided to fit 27mm Mauser cannon back into the Eurofighter Typhoon after the recent experience in Afghanistan showed that the cannon is still important for close air support.
Air Vice-Marshal David Walker said last week that he had decided to proceed with the Typhoon gun, buying ammunition, spares and maintenance equipment.
