Missile radar idling in Hawaii
The Sea-Based X-Band Radar is still idle in Pearl Harbor and there are a list of problems facing sea-based radar platform.

The partly submersible oil rig only has one towing bridle and it may be impossible for a rescue ship to use anytime waves reached more than 8 feet.

Critics also say that it does not have a helicopter landing pad certified for landing the most common U.S. Coast Guard and Navy rescue helicopters and a flight is eight hours away.

Finally, the installation is vulnerable to attack by enemy nations or terrorist groups.
