Deferring jet fighter purchase could save $1bn
Australian Strategic Policy Institute wants the government to delay the purchase of F-35s for two years and the extend life of the F-111 in order to save taxpayers $1 billion.
Andrew Davies said it will cost more to buy the JSF early and its cheaper to buy them later.
