Textron's helicopter contract in jeopardy
The U.S. Navy has told Bell that its H-1 upgrade program may be canceled next month unless the company addresses "major concerns" with the project.
The Navy is concerned if Bell can contain the cost overruns. The projected cost has risen to $8 billion compared with its goal of $3.5 billion 10 years ago.
