Navy Tomahawk program sees another first with recent test event
USS Boise (SSN-764) recently fired a Tomahawk Block III cruise missile in order to ensure that its Block IV fire control system is backward compatible with a Block III.

The test was conducted in the Gulf of Mexico. The Block III missile was launched from the submarine's vertical launch system while a Block IV cruise missile was launched for the first time from the torpedo tube.
