Boeing to join L-3, Alenia in bid for DoD cargo plane
Boeing will join L-3 Communications to bid for the U.S. Army and Air Force's Joint Cargo Aircraft program with the C-27J. While Lockheed has decided to enter the race with a shorter version of the C-130J.

Raytheon will offer the C-295 and possibly also its smaller cousin, the CN-235.
