Security flaws could cripple missile defense network
A Pentagon Inspector General’s report found that the Missile Defense Agency's Ground-based Midcourse Defense (GMD) communications network could be hacked.

It found that MDA and Boeing allowed the use of group passwords on the unencrypted portion of the network. Pentagon policies require a system to conduct automated log audits on unencrypted communications and monitoring systems.
