Military Deploys Guided Missile Systems
South Korea has deployed three, domestically-built advanced guided missiles for the Army and Navy.

The Shin Kung (New Bow) is a shoulder-launched short-range surface-to-air missile with a range of 7 kilometers and maximum speed of Mach 2.1.

The Hae Song (Sea Star) is a long-range ship-to-ship cruise missile with a range of up to 150 kilometers.

The Chong Sango (Blue Shark) is an anti-submarine torpedo that can be launched from P-3C Orion maritime surveillance aircraft and Super Lynx helicopters.
