Warner flips on aircraft carrier policy
U.S. Sen. John Warner, chairman of the Senate Armed Services Committee, has reversed his position and support the retirement of USS John F. Kennedy.

Warner had earlier rejected moves to retire the carrier but he explains that his recent change of position was that the money used to maintain Kennedy could be better used to growing the size of the overall Navy fleet from 281 to 313 ships.
