Australia is expected to announce its decision to buy at least four C-17s to relieve pressure on its overworked fleet of C-130s.

The key decision that allow the C-17 to beat the A400M is that the Globemaster is the only one that can carry the M1A1 Abrams battle tank that Australia is buying from United States.
