From Hawaii, C-17’s fly first contingency response mission
Hickam's brand new C-17 suffered a technical glitch while its was being prepared to ferry relief supplies to Philippines.
Another C-17 from Charleston Air Force Base training in Hawaii was quickly substituted for the flight and a split crew of active-duty Airmen from the 535th Airlift Squadron and Guardsmen from the Hawaii ANG’s 204th Airlift Squadron departed Feb. 20.
