'Flying crane' may give Army big lift The U.S. Army Aviation and Missile Command is considering a new type of unmanned aerial vehicle that could lift from 3,000 to 6,000 pounds.

They are considering the K-MAX unmanned aerial vehicle built by Kaman Aerospace Corp.
