Flight control problems led to near-catastrophe
On Sept. 28 last year, a F/A-22 flew through the wake vortex of an F-16 Fighting Falcon. This caused the fighter to go into an uncontrollable series of violent maneuvers that resulted in $3.6 million in damage to the jet.
