Kona runway planned for new cargo jets
The U.S. Air Force plans to spend $15 million to construct an auxiliary runway at Hawaii's Keahole-Kona Airport to keep its C-17 pilots proficient in short takeoffs and landings on semi-improved runways used in places like Iraq and Afghanistan.
