Missile defense comments by Canada's new U.S. envoy spark uproar
The newly appointed ambassador to Washington triggered a row on Tuesday when he suggested Canada had signed on to be covered by the U.S. ballistic missile umbrella, a statement that runs contrary to Ottawa's claim that it has yet to join the program.
