Airman awarded Silver Star
U.S. Air Force special-operations Master Sgt. William "Calvin" Markham, an Air Force combat controller, was awarded a Silver Star for his work as a member of the 23rd Special Tactics Squadron while attached to the Army's Operational Detachment Team 555 in Afghanistan.
