Truman Relieves Kennedy in Arabian Gulf
A changing of the guard occurred Nov. 20, when the USS Harry S. Truman (CVN 75) Carrier Strike Group relieved the USS John F. Kennedy (CV 67) Carrier Strike Group on station in the North Arabian Gulf Nov. 21. In the picture, the conventional aircraft carrier USS John F. Kennedy (CV 67), is relieved by the Nimitz-class aircraft carrier USS Harry S. Truman (CVN 75) shown making her turn away from Kennedy, and assuming duties under U.S. Navy Commander Fifth Fleet.
