U.S. Air Force firings raise questions about contracts
The sacking of the U.S. Air Force's top two officials has given Boeing's KC-X supporters ammunition that its acquisition decisions were flawed.

Sen. Patty Murray issued a statement saying the "resignations raise new red flags about procurement and oversight within the Air Force" and that "the Administration itself has expressed a lack of confidence in the decision-making and leadership of the Air Force's top officials."

However Alabama's leaders were quick to respond by saying that the resignations will not affect the KC-X outcome as both Moseley nor Wynne were involved in the tanker acquisition process.
