Bush pushes for seed money for missiles in space
The Bush administration is pushing for more money to explore options for putting a layer of ballistic-missile interceptors in space.
Boeing and Lockheed Martin responded that they are willing to explore such a request.
"If our customer comes to us and says we want you to investigate this, certainly industry will be ready, willing and able to do so," said Scott Fancher, Boeing's top executive for missile defense systems.
